This video shows the final two laps of the 2024 Zip By Now, Pay Later 250 at the Sonoma Raceway, as Austin Green wheels the No. 32 to a career-best 4th-place finish in only his third series start (he was side-by-side with Sam Mayer in a battle for 3rd coming off the final corner). Video taken from behind the Peterson Racing pit (Stall 28, a joint effort with Jordan Anderson Racing), including a...

Corey Heim and Austin Dillon wreck during the photo finish to the 2024 Advent Health 400 at Kansas

Not the best view of the photo finish itself, but you can see what happened behind them. UPDATE: The car against the wall appears to be Austin Dillon, explaining his toe link damage in the garage.

Team Green is my personal favorite 🏁
Great video! I remember each of these individually. I was at the final Earnhardt win and remember hearing about Roper's death in the stands that day. All of the fans were talking about it. I was also in Charlotte for the 600 weekend the week Blaise passed. Same deal. The stands were a buzz about it and we were all hoping NASCAR would react. I hate that we lost as many talents as we did those few years. May they all rest in peace.
Are theese supposed to be nascar related or something. We're did you find theese at ?
I'm sure NASCAR had nothing to do with these, but I'm always interested when off-brand companies try to approximate the NASCAR style. These look more like cars from a cartoon or children's book, but the headlights and some elements of the paint schemes feel similar to stock cars. As for where they are, I found them at a convenience store near my work, but from the comments it sounds like they're also at the Dollar Store.
The way you showed the two photo finishes in tandem was absolutely phenomenal. Every race fan at the time had that image in their heads, but I've never seen someone show it visually in such an accurate and emotional way until this video. Absolutely amazing film making, Brock. You really have something to be proud of.
Before Dale Earnhardts death in 2001 his 23rd Daytona 500 they should have improved safety in 2000 when 3 young drivers died in crashes NASCAR didn’t do enough than until a big name died in 2001 after Dale Earnhardt died on the final lap of that race
Well it's hard to get excited when races are named "Beef. It's What's For Dinner. 300" and I mean literally with the punctuation marks. As a "Star Wars" fan, I won't comment on your feelings regarding MauLer's videos other than to say I personally think he's a clown, but everyone's results may vary right?
AMAZING !!!!!
I agree with Rusty. But that’s not what killed either of these guys.
3 years after this video and im watching it. almost 24 years after tonys accident and going back to the website and reading the messages, it hurts to read them i am sobbing.
I was at pocono in 92 w my dad and saw the Davey Darrell scrum b4 the crash, they raced hard and total incidental but gotta respect the man, he did much for the sport
Ken and Richard were right all the way back then…plate racing is much more dangerous because you have more cars closer to each other and STILL running 190-195mph…..dumb
Need to clean up the 42:37 video and get rid of the writting!
Please see the pinned post.
Huge fan of both Geoff and Alan. Thankyou for this.
Brock, this was flat-out outstanding. 1993 was the first season I followed week to week as a 10 year old with an understanding of the points and I remember almost every race of this difficult season. You did great justice to it.
Saw a bunch of these at Dollar Tree and I got 4 of them so I could give 3 of them as Christmas gifts to the kids in my family.
Eh, I think I saw that at Dollar Tree at the More section.
Gotta go with the 2 and the 4 cars - the blue and green cars, for obvious reasons… 24ever 🇺🇸!
This was a great series have u thought about doing a rise and fall of Yates Racing??
When you were taking them out of the plastic i thought " uh oh, he's going to find out they are cellophane wrapped chocolate candy!" 😂 I like the blue one best.
Cute. I like the 3 car
Cool
interesting
Tire barrier...pretty safe. Caterpillar haul truck tire barrier.....not safe.
Very well done. I remember lots of these guys from Asa racing in Wisconsin
This was the height of crashcar. Garbage since 2000.
This was very well done!! Bravo sir!
So when's episode 10 actually gonna come out?
Whenever I'm able to complete my interview with the subject of the video. No date set yet.
@@LASTCARonBROCK cool. Just hyped for it
They made the cars slower typical modern nascar….oh wait
He had the teams tied into his real estate development bussiness in 2008? Honestly this isnt surprising at all. Lots of people lost their shirts in 2008. Nascar itself never really recovered.
Regarding the questions about WHY a five-lap salute was done... Wheldon was 12170 days old. In Latin gematria, "Five-lap salute" = 1217, "Dan Wheldon" = 1072, and "Wheldon" = 1027. He struck the car of "Charles Newton Kimball" = 217 Ordinal, who was 127 days before his birthday. It was also 217 days before the next Eclipse.
Ron Fellows. He's done so much for Canadian racing, so so much, he's given careers to many and is one of the most wholesome people in any garage. Also he races dirt modifieds at Trois-Rivieres every year, hijinks ensue
Mr Beard, you and mr Bryan, awesome job on the video, I hope you don't mind, I've been thinking, if you can, are you able to explain, how did Jim Matei and eventually Jim Smith(Ultra Motorsports) end up getting the #7 team? How did Geoff Bodine have 2 truck team and how did he end up racing #60 car for Joe Bessey in Winston Cup? Again, thank you for the awesome job!
Thank you! As to Jim Smoth acquiring the No. 7 team, most of that story is in Part 1 of my series "500 Days" along with other silly season news in 2000-2001. Mattei invested in Bodine's team around 97-98.
I am simply amazed at the old footage you are able to find from qualifying and practice. You must have tape traders all over the place to find this unique footage
Thank you! I do have some footage of my own, but for this project all the footage used is currently on UA-cam, thanks to the many excellent archivists here. For a full list of the sources used, I've put a playlist in the description.
Hahahaha Kyle Petty had no clue about racing!!! What a douche!!
DW already messed up in the head about someone buying. Seat a having a steering wheel and all in the stands…. Piss off DW!!
Lotta people are still heartbroken over Davey
Poor DW was hurting as bad as anybody. Credit that man for keeping it together for everybody. Didn't plan on crying today, man.
skip to the 4 minute mark
Loved the Speedworld theme as a kid in the 90s but it is the CBS theme that I always associate with having a "Big Race" feel to it.
Early 90's was even better!
